A call out was book to investigate a slow and noisy broadband line. This is an issue we come across sometimes when old infrastructure cabling has been building up throughout the years. In this case a slow broadband service and noisy line was due to a bad connection in a messy D.P.
There was 6 redundant cables connected to the broadband line and some were damaged and causing line problems. There was also and old filter which was replace. After disconnecting the redundant cabling and repairing the join on the D.P we check the line. The issue was resolved and there was no longer noise on the line. We then check the broadband speed which had a dramatic improvement from the speed they had before.
