Recent works tidying a comms rack which has been causing issues throughout there network. The comms rack was not being replaced so we fitted cable management loop rings down both sides to contain the patch leads. We also replace the PDUs in the back as 4 sockets had been broken.
The most interesting thing we found was a analogue line hidden in the bottom of the cab. The line was document but its purposes was not and being unable to check due to the build up of equipment it was left. We discovered it was connected to a old modem which had been replaced by a new FTTC broadband line. This meant the line was being paid for and was not needed and not being used for any services.
