96 Cat6A cables that have been recently installed and terminated. Today we have handed over the Fluke test results and the data cable installation is now signed off and complete. Having a high volume of traffic and large file transfers, Cat6A was chosen as it supports 10Gbit/s connections. Black cable stocking has been used inside the comms rack and loosely tied into place which keeps the cab looking tidy and easy to work in. Most manufactures advice not to ‘dress’ the cables in place so stocking is used. Without dressing the cables we pull 1-2 metres over a bunch of 24 and the terminate them onto a keystone jack pack panel.
